Can You Name This?

  1. Lamium galeobdolon 'Hermann's Pride'. Also known as Galeobdolon luteum, Lamiastrum galeobdolon and Lamium luteum, not to be confused with Hermann's gangly and invasive cousin, Lamium galeobdolon "Variegatum". Both are known by the common names of Deadnettle and Yellow Archangel. Hermann is very bushy, while "Variegatum" is a gangly, vining bully that cares nothing about smaller plants around it. Still, it serves its purpose if you have an area that needs to be covered thickly and quickly. It thrives in either sun or deep shade with little or no water if in a shaded location.
