Monday's flower

  1. Fabulous, Jan! I am always in awe of people who are able to grow this Fritillaria/Crown Imperial, as I have not had much luck with it (of course, the slugs don't help all that much, either). Maybe I will have to try it again, as they are so impressive. Do you find that the smell of the flowers/foliage is as bad as that of the bulb?

  2. Cathy, I think they're so neat; I'm planting more for next year. I've not had any problems with them & if you'd like me to send you a few bulbs in the fall, it would be my pleasure. They are impressive which is why I like them. You can see them from afar. (I have a 7ft Joe Pye) Yes, they smell like skunks when they first bloom but either I've gotten used to them or the smell dissipates.
